ChinNet The 1998 contest

Hi All,

Back in late 1996 Timothy Garay organised the 1997 Chinchilla calendar photo contest. This was a large succes and a lot of fun for everybody involved.

Let's try if we can organise a contest again. This is made possible because of generous gifts by various chin breeders.

The rules

Everybody, except Bernice and me, had the oppertunity to submit pictures of their chins or their cages. They have been published on a special set of ChinNet pages.

Each is referenced by a unique number. There will be no name of the person that submitted the picture published with the picture (yet).

As of June 15th 1998, there are no more pictures accepted into the contest. Then, the voting started. Votes will be counted by me and published on the web pages.  Please refer to the time schedule.

Once the votes have been counted, the winner and the list of runner-ups will be published. This is also the time when the names of the persons that submitted the picture will be made public.

I have contacted a number of chinchilla breeders that have been friendly enough to sponsor this project. They will then send out the prizes to the various winners.

The pictures will remain on ChinNet, much the same as the 'old ones' are still on ChinNet today. However, the copyright remains with the photographer.

The prizes

All the prizes are meant to be a encouragement to submit pictures. They are the generous gifts of the breeders mentioned.
