Jim's Chinchilla Omnibus

1. Pictures of my Chin Chiquito

Here is Chiquito on top of his cage, just about to jump.

Chiquito resting on one of his two platforms. His ladder is shown as well. A wheel will be installed in this area for Chiquito's Xmas present.

Here Chiquito is being cuddled but some times he is so keen to get a run about he squirms and kicks so much that he escapes from your grasp.

2. Chiquito's Cage

This is a drawing of my Chin's cage. It is actually wire mesh all round but I left the front and sides clear so you can see inside better. Chiquito started out by using the ladder to climb up to the ledges we provided, but now he scampers up using any means he can - the side of the cage, the top of his house. He has chewed through some of the rungs on his ladder anyway.

4. Me and my Chinchilla

My Chinchilla is called CHIQUITO. He is a year old and can really burn up the carpet when we give him his nightly run in the lounge. He is a recent and quite rare Black Velvet crossbreed. He enjoys Chipmunk food which contain raisins and nuts. Another really great food are locust beans which are tasty and not too rich for a Chinchillas elongated intestinal tract. He has a tendency to be a bit cheeky sometimes like when he rubs himself in the coal fireplace and then runs over the carpet and jumps up onto the white walls of the lounge leaving little black mitt marks. But he is so cute and adorable you just can't be angry at him.

5. My Other Pets

Here is Meeko my beloved red bellied turtle. He is very intelligent and will come to greet you any time you are near. He is only about two inches long at the moment but he will grow up to nine inches.

This is the family's cat, Princess. She is a Tortoise shell and 8 years old. She is very grumpy and fat. We also have 2 Guinea pigs, a Dwarf hamster and a tankful of tropical fish. We ran out of film before snapping them but if you want to see them then E-Mail me on the address below.
