The easiest way to describe the use of this information is to use an example. Let us suppose that I wanted to cross a Brown Velvet with a Pink White. To find the possible results, turn to contents, then find either combination in the list. Click it, and you will be taken to the table describing the mating that I am interested in.
You will see that the number of genetic combinations possible (for colour only !) is 16. This figure is worked out by breaking down the colours involved in the Brown Velvet (Standard, Beige, Black, Brown) and the Pink White (Standard, Beige, White, Pink White), and multiplying them together. In this instance 4x4 = 16. Once this figure is known a 'Punnet Square' is drawn up and all the combinations are worked out.
In this example there are 12 combinations are worked out that appear. They are listed in order of the least to the most appearances in the 'Punnet Square'. If my aim was to try and produce the Homozygous Beige/Black animal, I can see that I have 1 chance in 16, or 6¼ percent chance. As we are talking about chance, it could be the first baby born on the 9th, or the 16th or the 25th etc....
All that is known for sure is that I have a 1 in 16 chance of producing a Homozygous Beige/Black animal. With that in mind I will reject this mating and try another. Using my imginary Brown Velvet I have returned to 'Breeding with the Brown Velvet' and now look ar each mating in turn for the highest percentage chance of the Homozygous Beige/Black. Using the Brown Velvet you will find that the highest chance is 25 percent.
If you look at 'Brown Velvet mated to Homozygous Beige/Black', you will notice that amongst the possibilities is '25% fatal'. This will NOT mean I will have 25% of my babies born dead or deformed. It means that I would have expected a colour which is not possible because of a lethal gene.
There are two combinations that are not possible. These are :
The foetus for these colours never develops. However, if the female had produced two eggs for fertilazation, the other may be fertilized instead. If this were the case, then my chances of producing a Homozygous Beige/Black would be increased from 2 in 8, to 2 in 8 minus the fatal combination, in this case 2. This leaves with with 2 in 6 or 33 percent chance of breeding the colour that I require.

Creamy
to Blue White with Black eyes. May have patches of grey on head or body, or
may even be a mixture of grey and white (also known as Mosaic and Silver).
Creamy to Blue White with pink ears and pink/red eyes, may have patches of Beige on head and body (also known as Beige/White Mosaic and Starlight).
Same as for the White, but coloring may show up as Black, other than this animal should have Black stripes on the forepaws.
Same as for Pink White, but colour patches may be Brown and the animal should have Brown stripes on the forepaws.
Very light cream color, verging on having a Pink tinge. The eyes are pale Pink in color and the iris appears white, faintly (also known as BLONDE).
Caramel in color, the eye has the same appearance as for the Homozygous Beige.
Very similar in appeance to the Pink White, the eyes will appear the same as for the above.
